The exterior of this vehicle was stripped down to bare metal in 2014 and resprayed in an update base/clear coat. Since the new paint the vehicle has undergone very few miles which it why it shows as if new! The interior of this impala is upholstered in factory correct color bright blue vinyl which was redone within the last 3 years. Under the hood is a date correct 327 cubic inch motor backed by a 2-speed power glide transmission. When ordering this vehicle new the owner opted for the larger v8 over the standard 283 which came at a cost of $93. Within the interior of this impala super sport you will see the bright blue buckets seats with the console shifter located in between driver and passenger seats. When looking at cowl tag of the impala attached to the firewall, you will notice the factory rivets still holding the tag in place. When decoding the tag on this vehicle you will see a 66-16837 which will decode to a 1966 Chevrolet impala super sport. This impala super sport originally resided in the southern states before being brought up to New York and being placed for sale and that is shown by the underside condition of this vehicle. The 1966 Impala was a mild restyle of the 1965, featuring a new instrument panel, grille, wheel covers (except for SS models), and rectangular taillights that wrapped around to the side of the quarter panels. Standard features now include lap belts front and rear, reverse lamps, day/night rearview mirror, and a padded dashboard. Under the hood you will notice the vehicle was factory equipped with power steering, power brakes, a 4-barrel carburetor and air conditioning. The air conditioning has been upfitted from the factory R12 equipped and converted over to R134 to ensure you are staying cool in this classic on those warm days using modern refrigerant. In the trunk you will notice the factory matt covering the pristine original trunk pan, accompanying that will be a full size spare along with a correct jack for the vehicle. This Impala wont last long with the V8 SS and the right colors!
